Community of Practice
Join a supportive community of DpC practitioners to share experiences, build connections, and deepen your skills and confidence in applying the DpC Methodology.
Why?
To support individuals’ capacity to more effectively facilitate dialogue and restore relationships . The skills at the core of the DpC method are perishable. If we don't use them, we lose them. We need others to exchange with, and there's great value in being around practitioners who, as DpC Facilitators, already share a common language and mental models.
The need
Listening to those that have finished the training and are requesting more, we are driven by the following question - “How can we support facilitators in enhancing their practice, maintaining momentum and exchanging inspiration over time?”
What is the DPC Community of Practice (CoP)?
A series of online gatherings to convene those who have been through the DpC training with the purpose of fostering connection, deepening understanding and sparking inspiration to apply the skills in our life and work.

Core Elements
-
DpC Global Cafe
Connect with fellow DpC facilitators and exchange experience. Get to know who is in this group and create the ground to self-organise future conversations.
Who else is out there practising? Where? How is it going?
What is working/challenging?
-
Seminar
A 45-minute lecture on a particular subject relevant to the DpC methodology and alive in practice.
This year the focus will be on the updated methodological development in the new DpC Handbook. Topics highlighted are: resiliency/polyvagal theory and the new model complementing TIDES. -
Case Study
Learn from a featured case study of DpC in action. We will explore the application of DpC in specific contexts learning from those who have lead the development of transforming conflict in their communities. This will also serve as a time to exchange and hear other experiences within this community.
Who is this for?
Anyone who has completed the DpC Trainer of Facilitators programme (Module 1 and Module 2 training). Whether your training was 20 years ago or last week.
What is it not?
This community is not meant to be:
A pipeline for jobs: We want to offer a non-transactional space, where people can relax and engage meaningfully.
Not a 'course': This is not a content-heavy experience. While one component of the year's offering has a seminar flavour, the overall Community of Practice engagement is interactive and draws on the expertise within the group.
Not therapy, supervision, or coaching: Each of these important practices requires dedicated time and space. This is not the setting for in-depth one-on-one work. Instead, the focus of the DPC Community of Practice is on peer-to-peer exchange within the DPC network.
Benefits:
Sharpen your capacity to facilitate dialogue
Find inspiration
Connect to others using the same tools in different contexts
Understand your role in a larger context
Exchange experiences of applying and adapting the method
Commit to your ongoing professional development
